Common Questions
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
In most cases, no. You can book directly. However, some insurance plans may require a referral from your doctor, like BCBS TX HMO plans.
What happens during the first appointment?
Your first session includes a review of your health history, labs (if available), eating habits, goals, lifestyle, and challenges. Together we create a realistic nutrition plan tailored to your needs.
Do you provide personalized meal plans?
Yes. Meal guides are individualized based on your health goals, food preferences, culture, schedule, and medical conditions. We also provide weekly menus for an extra cost.
How quickly will I lose weight?
Results vary by person depending on goals, medical history, consistency, and lifestyle. The focus is long-term success rather than quick fixes.
Do you prescribe weight loss medications?
Nutrition counseling focuses on food, behavior, and lifestyle. Medication-related questions should be discussed with your healthcare provider.
Do you see children for appointments?
At this time, we do not provide nutrition appointments for children. Services are currently available for adults only.
